From Spare Closet to Office

Our son moved out.
So what does every parent do?
Cry? Yep.  For 3.7 minutes.
Celebrate? Yep.  Pat yourself  and your husband on the backs for raising an amazing young man.
(maybe celebrate with a little wine...)
Redecorate? Yep!  What will it be? Your choice!  What?
That's what I said, "your choice!"
Woohoo!
After the boy's "stuff" was out and moved to his new place,
we had to force him to take it....(after all, we are NOT a storage shed!)
We decided to make his room into an OFFICE/ART ROOM.
We decided to turn the now spacious closet into the office nook.
Took off the sliding doors and stored them in the garage.
A little white semi-gloss paint...
And then moved in our office stuff:
an old library table and chair inherited from my hubby's dad...
my dad's old file cabinet...
a $4 Walmart door mirror, turned sideways...
an old lamp and baskets...
and a DIY calendar I made out of paint chips (see previous blog post).
Wah-lah!

Next "weekend job" is to set up the "art room".
Keep Calm (do some remodeling!) and Kerri On!
