Crock Pot Swiss Steak

Isn't it great when you come home from a long day at work,
and a tasty supper is hot and ready for you in the crock pot?
Prepare this easy recipe in the morning, and it will be ready for you when you get home!
Yummmm!
Ingredients:
Cubed Steak (enough to feed your family)
Carrots (1 carrot per person)
1 Green Pepper
1 15oz. can of Tomato Sauce
1 15oz. can of Petite Tomatoes
3/4 cup Flour
2 tsp. Garlic Powder
Salt and Pepper
Chop up carrots and peppers into chunky pieces, larger than bite-sized.
(if you cut them too small they will become "mooshy", and we don't want that)
Drop them into the bottom of your crock pot.
In a bowl or pan, combine flour, garlic powder and about a teaspoon each of salt and pepper.
Salt and Pepper BOTH sides of each piece of cubed steak,
then dredge both sides into the flour.
Place on top of the veggies in the crock pot.
Between layers of meat drizzle some sauce and tomatoes.
After all of the meat is in the pot, dump the remaining sauce and tomatoes on top.
Cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours,
or HIGH for 3 to 4 hours.

This steak is tender and tasty.  It makes it's own tomato gravy that carries the flavors of the green pepper and garlic.  Great over mashed potatoes...and don't forget the carrots!
Above, I served mine with rice and some cucumbers.

Good ole comfort food!
Hope you try it!
Keep Calm and Kerri On!
