Treat the doggies this season to a homemade treat!

DOGGIE BISCUTS

1 1/2 cups rolled oats
 1/3 cup butter
 1 1/4 cups boiling water
2 beef or chicken stock cubes
 1 cup peanut butter
 1 egg
2 cups whole meal/whole wheat flour

Preheat to 330 degrees...line two baking trays with baking paper (foil or parchment). Combine oats, margarine, cubes and boiling water. Let stand for 10 min. Stir in peanut butter and egg. Mix in flour until a stiff dough has formed. Knead dough until smooth. Roll out to about 3/8", with cookie cutter of your choice. Bake 50 - 60 minutes (turning cookies over 1/2 way). When cool, they should be crisp and hard. Store in airtight container in pantry for up to 12 months. But ours won't last that long. We spoil our doggies!
